Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
Yuriko (“we”, “us”) operates this website and takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who we are
Yuriko — Sushi & Ramen Bar, 45 O’Connell Street Upper, Dublin 1, Ireland. For any privacy question, email hello@yuriko.ie.
What we collect
- Reservations: your name, email, phone number, party size, date & time, and any notes or requests you add.
- Card deposit: when you book with a card deposit, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles it securely. We retain only a payment reference, the card brand, the last 4 digits, and the deposit status.
- Website usage: with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies (e.g., Google Analytics/Ads) to understand how the site is used. We also store small functional items in your browser (your theme choice and your cookie preference).
Why we use it (legal bases)
- To take and manage your reservation and contact you about it — performance of a contract and our legitimate interests in running the restaurant.
- To place a refundable deposit hold and, where applicable, charge it in line with our booking terms — performance of a contract.
- To send booking confirmations and updates — contract / legitimate interests.
- To measure and improve the website and our advertising — your consent.
Deposit terms
A refundable card deposit secures your table. It is charged when you are seated (or on a no-show) and released if you cancel ahead of time. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy).
- Google — analytics and advertising measurement, loaded only after you accept cookies (policies.google.com/privacy).
- Supabase (secure database, EU region) and Netlify (website hosting).
- Zoho Mail — sending our reservation emails.
We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Reservation records are kept for as long as needed to run the restaurant and to meet legal and accounting obligations, then deleted. Payment and deposit records are retained in line with Stripe and Irish tax requirements.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction or erasure of your data, object to or restrict processing, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email hello@yuriko.ie. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Cookies & consent
We only load analytics and advertising cookies after you accept them in our cookie banner; by default they are switched off (Google Consent Mode v2). You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the site footer.
